The following outlines the main advantages over the standard Windows Disk Cleanup Handler:

Select fixed drives for scanning and cleaning.
Selectively disable fixed drives from selection.
Select a specific path or network location to scan from.
Allow DevClean (the DCS Cleanup Handler) to scan for files independently of other registered Disk Cleanup Handlers, thereby saving time.
Show real-time progress of total space tagged for cleaning during the initial scan.
Consistent reporting of files to be processed. See Notes 1 and 2 below.
Ability to re-scan another location without having to launch the application again.

The Development Cleaning Suite (DCS) is comprised of several utilities designed to complement the Windows Disk Cleanup Manager. These include the following:

Disk Cleanup Handler

This application, called DCSUtil, is an alternative host for DevClean.dll. This launched in preference to the Windows utility "Disk Cleanup" when you only for development files or you wish to scan from a particular location - even disk or network location.

Disk Cleanup Configuration
This application, called DCSConfigurator, is the GUI interface that allows you all aspects of the scanning and purge options available. This tool allows you how DevClean.dll operates - even with the Windows utility "Disk Cleanup".
